MK-8 students attended the spring concert and art show last Thursday afternoon with parents in tow, showing their paintings, drawings and dioramas as they waited for the concert to begin. The afternoon's event had been originally planned for the beginning of the month, but was postponed due to weather.
"It was a real challenge to keep everything attached to the walls, but it was worth it! Families were able to view over 765 pieces of student artwork in the main hallway before moving into the gym for the music program," art teacher Dawn Anderson smiled as she later described the scene.
These art pieces took up to seven months to complete, according to the teacher.
As the concert began, youngsters, dressed to the "nines", quickly took their places and sang with enthusiasm to a full auditorium. Anderson said, "It was an excellent night of art and music in Moorcroft."
