Moorcroft Police Report

Jan. 31 - Feb. 6

On February 1, emergency fund assistance was given to a traveler in need.

On February 2, a lost wallet was turned in to the police department. Police clerk was able to make contact with the owner of the wallet. Owner retrieved the wallet the following day. Nothing further.

On February 5, police were notified of an unattended fire at a residence in town. Officer arrived and did not observe a fire burning. Officer spoke with the homeowner who advised they did have a fire earlier. Officer advised of the danger burning on a windy day and also advised of the rules of when, what and how you are legally able to have a fire in town limits.

On February 6, police assisted Moorcroft EMS on an emergency call.

Stats: One public service, 70 business checks, 11 traffic warnings, one assist to other agency, ten crosswalk/school zone, one emergency fund assistance, one found property , three bar checks, four background checks, one fire – controlled burn, six garbage can violations
