On Saturday, the Wolves Boys Basketball team traveled to Wright to open conference play against the Panthers. The Panthers jumped out on top and led 14-6 after the first quarter.
We got some pretty good looks at the basket, but shots were just not falling for us. In the second quarter, Wright extended their lead and went into halftime up 31-18.
The Wolves continued to struggle on the offensive end in the third quarter and the Panthers extended their lead to 43-25.The Panthers went on to win this game, 61-41.
They are an athletic team that likes to crash the boards hard and we just couldn’t keep them off the offensive glass. When you give your opponent 3-4 shot attempts at the basket, it’s hard to win games.
The Wolves will be back in action on Thursday night when they travel to Sundance to take on the Bulldogs and then again on Saturday when they travel to Tongue River.
