Lady Wolves open conference play with win

The Lady Wolves traveled to Wright on Saturday to take on the Lady Panthers. The Junior Varsity team got the night off to a good start with a convincing two quarter win. They played with a lot of energy and their defensive pressure allowed them good opportunities on the offensive end.

The Varsity took the floor for the final game of the evening. The Wolves came out of the gate quickly and found themselves ahead, 32 to 6 at the end of the first quarter, and took a 48-19 lead into the half. The Lady Wolves didn’t look back in the second half and won the game, 65-38.

It was a good victory to start the conference games out. We had our Big Horn game postponed on Thursday so the girls were ready to get on the floor and get going.

Our defensive pressure was the key to the game and it led to baskets on the other end. I thought we really moved the ball well and found good shots in each possession.

The Lady Wolves travel to Sundance on Thursday night and Tongue River on Saturday. Come out and support your Moorcroft Wolves!
