November 15 - 21
On November 15, police were called to Moorcroft K8 for a report of a minor in possession of an electronic cigarette. Officer went to the school and met with the principal and the minor. Minor was cited for Minor in Possession of Tobacco. Nothing further.
On November 15, police were called to the Moorcroft K8 for a juvenile issue.
On November 16, police were called to Moorcroft High School for a report of a minor in possession of an electronic cigarette and a knife. Upon arrival, officer met with the principal and the juvenile. It was reported to the school that the student had used the knife to threaten another student the previous day and while searching for the knife the school found the e-cig. Officer cited the juvenile for Minor in Possession of Tobacco. Officer then conducted interviews into the possible Aggravated Assault, investigation continuing.
On November 16, while on patrol, police observed unusual activity outside the Moorcourt Motel. While checking on the building, officers noticed a flashlight shining in one of the windows. Officers knocked on the door to the building and contacted the subject inside the building. Owner was packing up belongings, officers cleared.
On November 17, police were called to Moorcroft High School for a report of a disturbance. Officer arrived and spoke with principal, counselor and office staff about the incident involving an angry parent. One citation was issued for Breach of Peace and a Notice of Trespass (with exceptions) was served per school request.
On November 18, police were called to the First Southern Baptist Church for a report of a fire alarm. Upon arrival, officer met with someone at the church who advised there was no fire, the alarm was set off by a child on accident.
On November 19, police assisted Moorcroft EMS on an emergency call.
On November 19, police were contacted by a parent who was worried due to a school bus not returning from an activity on time. Officer contacted the Bus supervisor who stated the bus was running on time and advised of the time it would be arriving back at the school. Officer relayed this information to the parent. Nothing further.
On November 19, police arrested a driver for Driving Under the Influence and transported to Crook County Detention Center without incident.
On November 20, police provided a funeral escort.
On November 20, police assisted Moorcroft EMS on an emergency call.
On November 21, police assisted a vehicle owner who locked their keys in their car.
