MIC invites you to Candlelight Service of Remembrance

Your friends of the Moorcroft Interfaith Community invite you to attend a very special Candlelight Service of Remembrance to help you and your family face and cope with the holidays after the loss of a loved one, whether recent or in the past.

It will also help us to understand that the community shares and supports us in our experience as we go through this season of grief.

The service will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the Moorcroft Town Center Library, 101 S. Belle Fourche Ave., Moorcroft, WY.

This is a beautifully inspiring and uplifting celebration of hope, healing, comfort and renewal as we light the candles of memory, community, grief, joy, mystery and thanksgiving. The message, music, sharing of memories and fellowship are designed to bring comfort, peace, strength, love and closure in remembering.

We recognize that the holiday season can be especially hard for those who are mourning the loss of a loved one. The joyfulness of the season conflicts with the emptiness of our hearts.

Our Third Annual Candlelight Service of Remembrance allows you to escape from this hectic season to remember your loved one in a calm and quiet place. The service provides a message of comfort for those who mourn, shines a light of hope and peace for the future and a place of support for you to grieve, reflect and heal with others who have lost loved ones.

Everyone who attends will be given a candle to light in memory of their loved one and each family will receive an angel to hang on a memorial cross. Each family is welcome to bring a photo of their loved one(s) and will have the option of announcing the name of those whom they are honoring.

Following the service, light refreshments will be served, allowing time for you to visit and reminisce with family and friends and support one another in community.

We look forward to seeing you there. For more information contact: Pastor Monte 217-251-1182 or [email protected]
