Homecoming was a wild and wonderful week with volleyball taking on all comers at Conference, the rite of passage that is the Burning of the M, a barbecue and dance and the annual show stopper: the parade. This was Shanna Kinnick's first year setting up the Moorcroft Homecoming Parade and she expressed her desire to make the event a success for all of the kids, saying, "I feel so sorry for the graduates from the last two years because they missed this." As floats were drawn into line and the young people took their places, the excitement and joy of being free to enjoy this historical rite could be felt as windshields and mirrors were cleaned, convertibles drawn up for the royalty and grade schoolers lined up along the curbs with their sacks.
