Two weeks ago, the new Noonan Park playground equipment was left in a mess, as well as the bathroom toilets, doors and sinks. The following Friday, Councilman Ben Glenn and four of his young associates converged with hoses, rags, dish soap and enthusiasm to clean the mess left behind. Glenn's son Patrick, Kurtis Elliot, Hayden Ambende and James Long worked diligently, starting with the slides before taking care of the restroom and finishing with the merry-go-round. As the boys worked, Glenn voices his frustration over such behavior, "It just infuriates me." The parks, Glenn assures visitors, will be patrolled with vigor by the police until closed circuit cameras are installed.
