After a month of repairs and improvements, Donna’s Diner has reopened.
When a customer inadvertently ran his vehicle through the front wall, destroying the glass door, window and a structural support holding the south end of the roof on the July 4 weekend, owners Candy Elliott and Kellie Donahue immediately got to work getting the place back into working order.
Regular patrons have been keeping close watch over the work, waiting for the doors of their favorite lunch stop to open again.
Loyal customers filled the parking lot once again Tuesday morning as the new door was unlocked, commenting on the new floor among other fresh details while their cups were filled.
