Moorcroft resident Zedekiah Runsabove has been bound over to District Court on two felony charges of sexual abuse of a minor.
A Moorcroft police officer reports that he was contacted on March 2 by a Department of Family Services case worker, who had received a report that abuse was taking place. According to the counselor, the juvenile stated they had been sexually assaulted approximately a year before.
The victim claimed that Runsabove had assaulted them after the pair had been playing in the house. The next day, the police officer received a call from the original reporting party, who said the victim had come back and said, “it happened again.”
The victim was placed in protective custody. During an interview, Runsabove allegedly said it was feasible that he may have touched the victim but, if he did, it was unintentional.
Runsabove has been charged with one count of sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree, a felony carrying a maximum penalty of 20 years of incarceration, a $10,000 fine or both, and one count of sexual abuse of a minor in the third degree, a felony carrying a maximum penalty of 15 years of incarceration, a $10,000 fine or both.
