The Voice of the Community Since 1909, Serving Moorcroft and Pine Haven, Wyoming
Thank You
The Moorcroft Area Chamber of Commerce would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the volunteers who helped make the 2021 Spring Fling Cleanup possible. It proves the old adage: “It takes a village”.
Principle Kirby Baier, the ninth through 12th grade students and faculty who provided the much needed muscle to canvas the town, picking up litter; the bus drivers who drove the students to their assigned areas; the town of Moorcroft who made the dump available, personnel, Scott, Dave, Willard, Cody and Jodi, skid steer, dump truck and pickup for the cleanup.
The following donated their time and vehicles: Doug Leis, skid steer operator; Dan Grace, pickup and a trailer provided by Mike Slattery; Jerry Fischbach, Fischbach Construction, pickup and trailer; Fred Devish, pickup and a trailer provided by Glenn Construction; Dick Claar, pickup and a trailer provided by Joey Kanode; Mark Millard, pickup and a trailer provided by Jeff Holberg; Neal Gray, pickup and a trailer provided by Randy Blakeman, Blakeman Propane; Sara King, Flow Tech Fueling, pickup and trailer; Robert Trigg, pickup and trailer; Mark Wood, school’s pickup and trailer; Marge Reed who did all the running for supplies; MVFD for letting us use their tables and chairs; and Casey Devish and Kristi VanHorn for support help. BAM Document Destruction and Recycling LLC was on hand to do document disposal.
Special thanks – Pinnacle Bank for the lunch provided by them and served by the staff. It was delicious. Quality Hardware for providing the space to stage the event, Ted used his skid steer to keep things cleaned up. Heidi Humpal who stepped up and handled the one issue we had.
All of these people volunteered time and used their personal vehicles to make the cleanup successful. If you see them, make a point to say thank you.
MACC gives a shout out to all of the residents who did their part in making the event a success. If some things were missed, it was unintentional. We only had 4 hours to cover the town.
Again, a big THANK YOU to everyone from the MACC – The town looks great.
Remember, the town is providing a Free Dump Day with a current water bill May 15
Keep the Clean-up Going
Thank You
I want to say a big thank you to the Moorcroft community for essentially adopting our grandchildren, Shelby and Hunter Garoutte as well as Amanda and Matt.
Four years ago, two young children decided to change schools and it turned out to be one of the decisions they’ll both be very happy about for their lifetimes. You all just accepted them and made them feel welcome.
Shelby is well underway to her BSN next year at age 21 and Hunter is going to Mitchell Tech. Cannot name everyone who helped make this happen but you know who you are – other students, teachers, counselors, coaches and parents. You opened up your houses when the weather was unsafe to drive in.
Once again, thank you all for whatever part you took in making them all welcomed. Almost forgot, if Kinley ever has any people giving her a hard time, she has many big brothers to take care of her.
Blessings to each and everyone!
Pat and Jerry Boone
