The Voice of the Community Since 1909, Serving Moorcroft and Pine Haven, Wyoming
May 2 – May 8 celebrates Professional Municipal Clerks Week and Moorcroft Mayor Dick Claar read the official proclamation at Monday night’s meeting for the formal record.
He and his fellows presented this recognition to Moorcroft clerks Cheryl Schneider (five years), Jodi Clark (almost four years) and Jesse Connally (more than 15 years) for their continuing service to town citizens, the council and other agencies as well as their persistent efforts to improve the administration of their duties via education, seminars, workshops and annual meetings by state and province.
Citizens also honor Pine Haven clerks Barb Hardy (12 years) and Marilyn Jensen (five) for their dedicated service to their community.
These women show up every day and administrate the towns’ business to the best of their considerable ability. A few of the duties of these stalwart individuals include keeping the council aware of legislation that may affect town business as well maintaining town accounts and budgets, answering concerns from residents and managing Code Red information to the community.
