At approximately 7:30 a.m. Friday, a single vehicle was involved in an accident near Mile Post 154 outside of Moorcroft.
Two Gillette residents were traveling eastbound onto I90 ramp near Moorcroft when the driver lost control of the late model GMC pickup near mile post 154.
When questioned by Wyoming Highway Patrol Officers, the driver said he lost control due to slick conditions. The automobile crossed both lanes before leaving the roadway, striking a highway sign and continuing down the embankment, coming to a stop only after hitting a ditch with the front of the pickup.
The driver complained of pain in his side and was checked by EMTs and found to be uninjured and was not transported for further medical examination. The passenger was unhurt.
A citation was given to the driver for “going too fast for conditions”.
