Wrestlers take third at conference

Conference duals were held in Tongue River this past weekend hosting Moorcroft, Hulett, Sundance, Wright and Tongue River. The Wolves came home with two conference champions, Wyatt Cook and Sean Buckmiller and third place as a team. Individually the wrestlers went:

106: Wyatt Cook – Conference Champion 3-0

113: Sean Buckmiller – Conference Champion 3-0

120: Tucker Cook – 1-2

126: Trenton Sheehan – 2-1

132: Jacob Anderson – 0-3

138: Randy Peters – 1-1

145: Spencer Cuthrell – 0-3

152: James Long – 1-2

160: Sterling Norris – 0-3

170: Hunter Garoutte – 2-1

182: Dekken Mayer – 2-1

Next up for the Wolves is the 2A Northeast Quadrant Regional Qualifier held this Saturday, February 20, in Moorcroft starting at 10:30 a.m. in the high school gym. Because of the pandemic, all regions were separated by North and South.

Teams that will be competing on Saturday will be Moorcroft, Wright, Sundance, Hulett and Tongue River. Following regionals, the state tournament will be held on Thursday, February 25 for all 1A and 2A classes in Casper at the event center.
