Christmas on the Green

Pine Haven’s beautification alliance has again brought smiles of appreciation to those who drive by the beautiful holiday lights along the north end of Pine Haven Road.

The entire west side of the fence surrounding the Keyhole Golf Course lights up at dusk with many festive scenes, most of which have been provided by the town including the newest display, a pickup and camper. The only other contribution is a happy snowman and a couple of penguins at the furthest north end that share season’s greetings from Paradise Foods, the local supermarket.

A group of around 12 alliance members worked to get all the lights in place over the first part of November and everything came on the day after Thanksgiving.

Alliance president Aileen Byrne said that there will be neither competition nor party this season. People are simply invited to take a trip to the end of the pavement and enjoy the display for the rest of the month.
