The Moorcroft Wolves held their 2020 football banquet last Monday night at MHS. The players and their families got together and celebrated the successful season.
Awards were presented to the following winners:
First Year Letters - Wyatt Cook, Cade Williams, Cole Cantu, Wyatt Allred, Shane Hannah, James Long, Spencer Cuthrell, Braizyn Humpal, Chaz Dewey and Trenton Sheehan.
Second Year Letters - Caden Connally, Payton Hippen, Kyler Smith, Lane Wood Tucker Cook, Kaden Haynes, Richie Allison, Dane Connally, Gavin Reynolds and Kane Goff.
Third Year Letters - Zane Linder, Randy Peters and Clay Stripp.
Fourth Year Letters - Hunter Garoutte and Dekken Mayer.
Manager award - Katie Cuthrell.
The Wolves had some special awards to give out at this banquet as well:

Most Improved Player - James Long

Comeback Player of the Year - Dane Connally
Turnover Chain - Lane Wood
The Wolf Pack - Hunter Garoutte and Zane Linder
Offensive Player of the Year - Zane Linder finished with fourth top passing performance, eighth in individual rushing, third in individual passing, third in all-purpose yards, ninth in scoring and tenth in KR. His best performance came against Riverside as he conquered the team’s opponents with 225 yards and 2 TDs, He tossed four TD opening week against Greybull and finished with 636 rushing yards ten TDs, 897 passing yards and nine TD, he finished the season with 1797 all-purpose yards.
Defensive Player of the Year - Hunter Garoutte finished 17th in the 1A 9 Man with 110 defensive points, averaging 13.8 points a game; 58 tackles; four TFL; five sacks and one fumble recovery. His best game was the opening weekend as he put up 33 defensive points against Greybull! With missing a game and half, that is an impressive stat line.
Lane Wood was recognized as the second leading receiver and fourth in punting in 1A 9 Man; and Dekken Mayer finished with the second best KO average.
All Conference and All State meetings were held on Thursday, November 19 and the winner will be announced later.
