Moorcroft's senior citizens' center hosted a Veterans Day celebration last Wednesday morning for 21 guests with a breakfast of fruit, biscuits and gravy, juice and coffee. Neal Gray and Donny Walkinshaw played guitars and sang in accompaniment.
Attendance was down from last year because of the coronavirus, according to Moorcroft Senior Board member Donna Ricks, but she still considered the event a success.
"People don't want to come out and I thought the ones who did come would eat and run, but most hung around and visited. I thought we had a good turn out and it was a nice morning," Ricks said.
The remaining food was packaged and distributed to those unable to attend due to health concerns.
