The new aeration blowers for both lagoon cells have been installed to the foundation in the blower building. Process piping for the new equipment will soon be installed for aeration on lagoon cell 2.
Lagoon cell 2 is near the end of sludge removal. Further drying of this cell needs to occur before completion, but this winter weather will slightly slow that process down.
RCS began welding the aeration lines that stretch across cell 2 to the new piping that has been installed underground on Monday. RCS subcontractor Veris returned Wednesday, October 28 to begin the final muck removal of lagoon cell 2.
