To cap off homecoming week, the Wolves took on the Lingle-Fort Laramie Doggers. The Doggers struck quickly against the Wolves defense, but the pack answered the score with one of their own from Hunter Garoutte.
Then, Moorcroft took the lead in the second quarter with a TD pass from Zane Linder to Lane Wood. The Doggers answered back, taking the lead, but the Wolves wasn't done scoring in the first half and capped off the half with another TD pass from Linder to Wood, giving the Wolves a first half lead.
Moorcroft stumbled a little coming out in the second half as they turned the ball over on the opening kick return and Lingle-Fort Laramie took advantage of the turnover with an early third quarter lead. That was the last time the Doggers saw a lead in the game.
The Wolves dominated the second half with three rushing TDs from Zane Linder. Linder was able to get the three touchdowns with some great up front blocking and lead blocking from his teammates.
The teams ended the game with the Junior Varsity players seeing some time for both squads and the Doggers put one in the end zone at the end of the game to make the final 41-25.
Wolves will travel to Basin Wyoming to take on the Riverside Rebels next. Kickoff is at 6 p.m.
Leaders of the pack were Zane Linder, Hunter Garoutte and Lane Wood on Offense. Linder lead the team in rushing and passing yards, Garoutte had the team's second best rushing yards and Wood lead the team in receiving yards.
Hunter Garoutte, Zane Linder and Dane Connally lead the team in defense. All three having multiple solo tackles, assisting on some too, each getting to the QB for a sack.
