The #3 Moorcroft Lady Wolves defeated #1 Sundance in five sets last Thursday, Moorcroft 3 Sundance 2 (11-25, 18-25, 25-23, 25-18, 15-13). The Wolves came back in the middle of the match by the third set and won the last three sets.
This was a huge comeback as a team. We started playing aggressive and having some strong attacks, which made the difference in the match.
Our defense was great, and we played hard for each point. We had strong serves that also helped our team stay aggressive when we had the sideout. This match was a great win for our team to get some momentum moving forward with our season.
On Friday, the Lady Wolves lost to #5 Big Horn, Big Horn 3 Moorcroft 0 (25-20, 25-15, 29-27). It took our team a while to get a rhythm and start playing aggressively.
By the end of the match, we were playing together. It was a close game and we have some more things to work on for the rest of the season.
I am very proud of the progress that we have shown and improvement as a team. We are continuing to work toward our goals as regional approaches in a couple of weeks.
