Best turnout yet for Texas Trail Cruisers Car Show

Among the plethora of beautifully restored vintage vehicles at the 17th annual Texas Trail Cruisers Car Show this year were a few from right here in Crook County, including a 1964 Ford Mustang Coupe owned by Carolyn Holberg from Moorcroft, a romantic powder blue 1965 Ford Mustang brought in by owner Dick Conzelman of Hulett and a 1932 Ford three-window Coupe proudly shown by Bob Maynard of Sundance.

Holberg also co-organized the event later shared results and thoughts about this season’s events: “We had 100 cars and it felt like we had 100 degrees out also. It was our best turnout ever.”

Ivan Policky of Upton won first place car with his 1915 Ford MDLT; second place car went to Jesse Scheon from Minot, ND and a 1968 Dodge Charger. The prize for first place truck drove away with Larry and Linda Kloster of Casper in their 1950 Chevy five-window pickup and Corbin Sweet of Upton took second place with his 1966 Ford Crew Cab pickup.

Wylie Basford came the longest distance to make the show, all the way from Payette, ID in a 1934 Ford pickup, and the Matt Driskill Top Gun Award went to Vicki Brown of Lusk, WY and her 1957 Ford T-bird.
