Sandra Kay Hance

Sandra Kay Hance née McCullough, 70, of East Helena passed away July 6, 2020 surrounded by family. She was born to Leonard A. McCullough and Margaret R. DeGering, on January 17, 1950 in Gillette, Wyoming.

Sandie and her family lived and worked the Empire Ranch in Moorcroft, Wyoming. She was a skilled horsewoman and a talented saxophone player. Sandie was known for her great sense of humor and her caring nature.

She graduated from Moorcroft High School in 1968 and received her BA in English from Carrol College. She worked for the same company in Helena for 33 years. Sandie was active in the community and especially involved in providing care packages to troops overseas post-9/11.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, James Hance, her children Cody Powers of Temple, Texas, Andi Powers of Three Forks, Montana, stepson Kevin Hance of Helena and their families. She is also survived by her sister Roxanne Peters of Gillette, Wyoming.

In accordance with her wishes there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to two of her favorite charities in Helena, The Friendship Center, 1430 Sanders Street, Helena, MT 59601 and Florence Crittenton, 901 North Harris Street, Helena, MT 59601.
