The Voice of the Community Since 1909, Serving Moorcroft and Pine Haven, Wyoming
The Pine Haven Volunteer Fire Department is again celebrating the Fourth of July weekend with a magnificent lightshow over the Keyhole Reservoir Friday evening, July 3 and everyone is invited!
While entrance to the show is free after 8 p.m., many vehicles arrive earlier to ensure a good spot for the show. Bringing camp chairs, blankets, snacks and libations, the fireworks are a great end to a family fun day.
The light-works start at dusk, but Fred Neugebauer and his crew of pyrotechnicians will have been hard at it for several hours in advance setting and testing the beautiful and potentially dangerous explosives to ensure a safe and spectacular experience for everyone.
This annual fundraiser pays for the subsequent celebration as well as needed upkeep of protective equipment for the fire fighters like breathing apparatus, fire retardant suits, boots, etc. People’s generosity directly correlates to the preparedness and safety of the volunteer fire department.
