Pine Haven Council sees seat swap

For personal reasons, Pine Haven Mayor Bill Cunningham officially resigned from the council last Tuesday night. With his departure, Councilman John Cook was sworn in as Mayor Pro-Tem and Emily Smith, also in attendance, was appointed to fill the open council position.

The entire procedure was finished within 15 minutes, after which the remainder of the meeting wore a different face. Before stepping down, Cunningham, an avid fisherman, received a fine trophy fish from friend and colleague Kristy Speed.
