The Voice of the Community Since 1909, Serving Moorcroft and Pine Haven, Wyoming
Everyone’s invited to join the Cruz the Valley family friendly day cruise on Saturday, June 13. Your quest is to find the “golden” ticket as you draw a ticket from participating businesses along the back roads of Crook County.
After a hearty breakfast at Dewey’s Place in Moorcroft at 8 a.m. the first ticket draw will take place at Donna’s Diner. Then, everyone will “cruz” through town to show your rigs before heading out along State Highway 14 to reach Hulett by 9:45 a.m.
Upon reaching Hulett, you will want to get in line for the parade by the school to again show off your wheels. The parade ends at Tower Valley Agg where said business is hosting a Show and Shine for those who want to enter. While in town, stop and gather your next tickets at Compass Trading, Ponderosa Bar, Hitching Post Café and Hulett Hotel.
Next stop, Aladdin. After a leisurely afternoon, participants are invited to continue the tour to the Aladdin Store by 3 p.m. for another opportunity to go for the gold before continuing on to Beulah.
Once in Beulah, you may continue seeking that elusive golden ticket at Buffalo Jump Steakhouse and State Line Sinclair before heading into Sandcreek 333 Saloon at 4 p.m. to show off your ride one more time in the Car and Motorcycle Shine.
Don’t run off just because you didn’t get that shiny slip of paper! Sandcreek is throwing the doors open with live music by the Unknown Knowns and special guest Aaron Baldes and a BBQ.
