Jones Scholarship

Before her death earlier this year, long time MHS educator and beloved friend to many, Kim Jones, gave careful thought to continuing in some way to help young people reach their goals of pursuing a secondary education. Thanks to her interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), the Jones Scholarship fund was born.

This year’s graduate Justyn Whisler is the first MHS student to benefit from this consideration, receiving $1500 to assist him reaching his goals. Whisler will be attending Gillette College in the fall to major in engineering and has spoken previously of his long-term career plan to work for Elon Musk at SpaceX.

This sounds like a great first step for Whisler and the Jones Scholarship.
