Filing dates have closed for the seats that will appear on the ballot at this year’s primary election and the names of those candidates who will be running for seats at the city, county, state and national level have been published.
At the state level, Tyler Lindholm will run again for State Representative, House District #1. He will be challenged by Chip Neiman of Hulett.
At the county level, one county commissioner seat with a four-year term will be voted on this year. Kelly Dennis will run to retain his seat, challenged by Bob Latham.
At the city level, two four-year city council member terms will be voted on this year for three of the county’s towns. In Sundance, Jana McLean and Joe Wilson’s seats are up for re-election.
Randy Stevenson and Wilson have placed their names on the ballot.
In Moorcroft, Owen Mathews and Ben Glenn’s seats are up for re-election. Glenn, John Aloisio and Paul Gallegos have filed to run for the two positions.
In Pine Haven, the seats to be voted on are currently occupied by John Cook and Karla Brandenburg. Cook will appear on the ballot to run for the mayoral position recently vacated by Bill Cunningham for health reasons, while Brandenburg and Emily Smith will run for council seats.
At the national level, candidates looking to replace Mike Enzi as he retires as U.S. Senator for Wyoming on the Republican ballot include Bryan Miller of Sheridan, Cynthia Lummis of Cheyenne, Devon Cade of Philadelphia, PA, Donna Rice of Casper, John Holtz of Laramie, Josh Wheeler of Casper, Michael Kemler of Lander, R. Mark Armstrong of Centennial, Robert Short of Douglas and Star Roselli of Scottsdale.
Candidates for this seat on the Democratic ballot will include James Kirk DeBrine of Evansville, Kenneth Casner of Elk Mountain, Merav Ben David of Laramie, Nathan Wendt of Jackson, Rex Wilde of Cheyenne and Yana Ludwig of Laramie.
Wyoming’s U.S. Representative will also be elected. Incumbent Liz Cheney will be challenged by Blake Stanley of Banner on the Republican ballot.
Democratic candidates for this seat include Carl Beach of Saratoga, Carol Hafner of Box Elder and Lynnette Grey Bull of Fort Washakie.
