Until next year...

An overwhelming number of vehicles were turning onto South Little Horn Avenue in Moorcroft on their way to the MK8 Award Parade last Thursday; so many, in fact, that police had to direct traffic onto an alternate route along Belle Fourche as well to keep Converse/State Highway 16 clear.

Thus was the attendance for this season farewell to so many beloved elementary school students set up by teachers and staff. As cars passed slowly along the loop in the south MK8 parking lot, teachers and staff waved and smiled, calling out to the children good summer wishes as parents received packets containing STEM (Science) Activities from 21st Century Learning Community (the school’s summer and after school program) and youngsters were given lunches and treats.

One staff member estimated that more than 300 vehicles passed through the loop during the three hours of the parade.
