Reva Augusta King, 88, of Hulett, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2020, in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.
Reva was born a few miles west of Hulett on June 4, 1932. Her parents were John C. and Myrtle (Lawrence) Wood.
Reva grew up in the Hulett-Sundance area and attended grade school in Hulett and the Government Canyon School in Moskee. The family moved to Spearfish in 1948 so the kids could attend Spearfish High School and Reva graduated from there in 1952.
In 1953, Reva married Bill King and had three sons. She moved back to Hulett in 1969 with her children and worked various jobs, including running a daycare for after-school kindergarten children, working at the sawmill and as a janitor for the Hulett school. She retired from her janitorial duties in 1998.
Reva trusted God with her whole heart and leaned on His guidance in everything, thus shining brightly with His light. She truly lived by His example.
Reva dearly loved family and was intensely proud of her sons and grandchildren. Reva loved people and enjoyed nothing more than visiting and sharing pictures with family and friends, especially her lifelong friend, Audrey Ebsen. She also enjoyed the beauty of nature, the sound of music and the joy of dancing.
Reva is survived by her children, Kalvin King, Casper, Wyoming, Keith (Elizabeth) King, Williams Bay, Wisconsin, KC (Colleen) King, Rozet, Wyoming; six grandchildren; sisters Shirley Jones, Patsy Olson, and many nieces and nephews. Reva is preceded in death by her parents John and Myrtle Wood and brother, Lewis Wood.
