For those who are going stir crazy at home, Keyhole State Park is open for people who want to get out and enjoy a picnic or hike during these days of quarantine.
Park Superintendent Wade Henderson encourages guests to make use of the open facilities and consider renting one of the cabins or tree houses. However, CDC and state health protocol is in place – adhere to the cleanliness recommendations, six feet separation and keeping all groups fewer than ten persons.
Henderson advises caution for fishermen, too. There is not a lot of open water to cast a line, but too much along the shore for ice fishing, “Fishing is iffy right now.”
Park administrative offices are closed to the public, but people may contact them via phone for an appointment if necessary.
