Moorcroft Police Report

Janu. 27-Feb. 2

On January 27, police were requested by dispatch to respond to Country Lane for a 911 call of a male subject in a yard yelling at and scaring the owner. Officer made contact with the subject who would not comply with officer’s orders to get down on the ground. Officer called for backup assistance. The male continued to fight the officer and a male resident came out to assist the officer while waiting for backup to arrive. Suspect was subsequently arrested by Crook County Sheriff’s Office Deputy and transported to Crook County Detention Center.

On January 27, police were notified of a theft from a local business. Officer responded and took the information on time frame of theft and description of the items missing.

On January 27, police were contacted by a resident who wanted to report a theft. Officer responded and after speaking with the complainant it was determined that the issue was civil in nature.

On January 27, police were contacted in reference to a domestic call. Upon arrival, officer met with the victim who advised officer of what took place. Officer made contact with the suspect and he was subsequently arrested for Domestic Assault and Interference with a Peace Officer. Suspect was transported to Crook County Detention Center.

On January 28, police assisted a semi-truck driver by blocking traffic while they backed down Highway 14-16. Driver was unable to get the truck to go forward due to the icy conditions of the road.

On January 29, police were requested to come assist Moorcroft EMS on an emergency call.

On January 30, while on patrol officer observed a CCSD #1 bus slide off the road on North Yellowstone. Officer and two other motorists provided traffic control so the bus driver was able to get the bus through the ditch into the church parking lot to turn around. Once bus was safely on its way, officer advised the motorists doing traffic control they could leave and thanked them for their assistance.

On February 1, police were notified of a theft from a vehicle. Officer met with the victim and took a report of what was missing and approximate time of when it went missing.

On February 2, police assisted Wyoming Highway Patrol in a pursuit.
