Beauty Lou and the Country Beast

Moorcroft High School hosted the original play brought to town by the Missoula Children’s Theatre, “Beauty Lou and the Country Beast” last Saturday afternoon. The cast consisted of 27 local actors and an assistant director who had only five days to perfect their parts in the hour long play and they did a smashing job.

The story line is a country twist on the classic tale with rodeos, country fairs, barn yard animals, a dog and an imaginary friend who turns out to be much more.

The seats filled quickly with only a few open as the first act began. Fun was had by both those on stage and the audience watching as the happy energy was shared, succeeding in lifting the spirits of entertainers and entertained alike, with humor and hard work; well worth the time and the cost of the ticket.

The Missoula Children’s Theater comes to town every year. If you missed this performance, next year will be the perfect time to take an hour out and enjoy the play.
