Wolves end football season with victory over Herders

For the last regular season game of the year, the Wolves played host to the Glenrock Herders. The evening included Senior Night and Pink Night as well.

With the hope of playoffs out, the Wolves had one thing to play for and that was ending the seniors’ careers on a victory over the Herders, which they hadn’t been able to do in previous years.

The seniors were set on this mission with three of the six seniors playing offensive line to fill in some holes due to some early injuries. Two of them normally play out as wide receiver, they knew this was best for the team and played to give them the best chance to win; so behind the offensive line, the Wolves running game was able to score four rushing touchdowns.

The defense was holding their own against the wing t offense that the Herders have perfected for so many years and the defensive plan limited the Herders to only scoring three times. But the Wolves defense wasn’t content with just holding them to three scores; they had to post two of their own, a fumble recovery and a pick six.

This had the Wolves up 38 to 18 over the Glenrock Herders.
