Lady Wolves win at Lusk

The Lady Wolves came out on top over the weekend at the Lusk tournament. The Wolves were undefeated, winning all four matches.

The first match up was against Upton, the Wolves won with the scores of (25-13, 25-15). They then played the home town of Lusk, winning (25-16, 25-11).

Next, the Wolves met HEM, taking them to three sets and winning (25-15, 25-14, 15-3). The last match was against Guernsey Sunrise (25-18, 25-22).

This was a great tournament for our team to compete in mid season. As a team, we have made some big adjustments offensively and our improvements were displayed at this tournament.

The girls played together as one team and worked hard each and every set. When we got challenged against HEM, we made adjustments in the third set; we cleaned up our minor errors and kept the errors minimal by ending the match 15-3.

That is what I look for as a coach, a team that can learn from our mistakes and use it to make us better. This tournament is helping us prepare for our future conference games and I am very proud of how hard this group of young ladies continues to work, how coachable they are and how successful we have been already this year.

We are on the road again this week, but will be home for homecoming next week.
