The Moorcroft Lady Wolves competed at the Rapid City Invitational Cross Country Meet at the Hart Ranch in Rapid City on Friday, September 27; competing in much cooler and wet weather.
In the middle school eighth grade 3000 meter race, Mallory Jones ran in the time of 12:28.10, placing third out of 51. Joslyn VonOlnhausen toughened up, running with a sore ankle and placed 44th with the time of 17:20.30. Myndy Heringer finished her seventh grade 3000 meter race in 65th place in a field of 68 with the time of 20:14.9.
In the high school varsity 5000 meter race, Hailey Jones finished in sixth place in a field of 90 runners in the time of 19:10.9, improving her time by 47 seconds. In the junior varsity 5000 meter race, Katelynn Blakeman finished in 14th place in a field of 66 runners and improving her time by 49 seconds. These Wolves are impressive to watch do the thing that they do so well.
The Wolves will head to Wright for the Brittany Rentas Invitational on Saturday, October 5 and the Wayne Cheney Invitational on Friday, October 11. Hope to see you there.
