High winds hit Moorcroft area

Saturday saw wind gusts of over 60 miles per hour hit Moorcroft throughout the course of the day.

Branches fell, taking out a number of private yard fences and blocking driveways, but, fortunately, no reports have been received of damage to residential roofs or vehicles.

Public Works Director Cory Allison reported no major harm to town property.

“I was out all weekend picking up trees, trash cans and ‘road closed’ signs, but nothing real terrible,” he says.
