September 16-22
On September 17, police were notified of a suspicious vehicle parked by the employee parking area at Coffee Cup with a man sitting inside of the vehicle. Officer responded and, once at Coffee Cup, made contact with two people in the vehicle. They had chosen to park at the Coffee Cup to rest. Officer ran their information and found out they were both suspended. Officer advised them that neither could drive the vehicle as they were both suspended. They agreed to have a friend come and get them. Nothing further.
On September 17, a resident came into the Police Department to report a burglary. Someone had taken nearly half a beef from their freezer in their garage. Victim believes it was taken from their garage during the very early hours of the morning.
On September 18, while patrolling, officer observed a vehicle being pushed by a couple of residents. They were struggling to get the vehicle up hill. Officer assisted them by helping push it up the street and against the curb.
On September 19, police received a call about a guy trying to put out a fire with a water bottle approximately 1.5 miles east on I-90. Officer responded at the request of dispatch and found the vehicle at mile marker 156.5. There was no fire but the driver did have a problem with his brakes and was pouring water on them to cool them off. Officer advised dispatch there was no need for Fire to respond.
On September 19, police were contacted in reference to a traffic crash at the intersection of Yellowstone and Crook Street. No injuries to occupants of vehicles. Citations were issued.
