Lady Wolves volleyball team worked together

The Lady Wolves had a great weekend at the Big Horn Invitational. For pool play, the Wolves went 2-4, losing to Tongue River (19-25, 18-25), but splitting sets with both Wind River (19-25, 25-18) and Glenrock (11-25, 25-20).

On Saturday, in bracket play, the Wolves came out strong, going 2-1. In a close match to Upton, they lost in two sets (20-25, 21-25). The next two bracket play matches, the Wolves swept both teams. Moorcroft beat Arvada Clearmont in two sets (25-14, 27-25) and they also beat Shoshoni in two sets (25-17, 25-23).

It is early in the season and we are starting to see our team work together as one unit on defense. We have a strong passing and serving team and these ladies proved that over the weekend. We also took both of our JV1 and JV2 teams to the tournament and these ladies competed and had several wins.

This was a fun tournament and we grew and improved as a team. We won some close matches, battled back when we were behind and tried out some new things offensively. Tournaments are a great time to try out all of our options as a team to help us prepare for conference play and we did just that. I am very proud of all of our teams for their hard work and success over the weekend.
