It was a full weekend, with the first game at Upton on Saturday and the last game at Devils Tower on Monday. The golfers are doing really well and are improving their scores consistently each week.
Caden Connally has stepped up his game and won the last two tournaments. He is hitting the ball really well and has made some incredible shots. Caden chipped in for an eagle on the last hole at Upton that was the shot of the tournament.
Payton Timberman has been right in the thick of things, too, with a sixth place finish in Upton and fifth in Devils Tower. He is looking to continue his climb up the placing.
KyAnna Petz was just out of the top ten at Upton and rallied to move up and win eighth place on a tough course at Devils Tower.
Faith Anderson is new to the game of golf, but has already improved her score by 19 strokes since the first tournament. She continues to work hard and we are excited to see how low she can get in the last couple weeks of the fall season.
Kaylei Petz has been sick and out for a little over a week, but should return this week so we are hoping she picks up where she left off and continues to lead the girls’ team.
Next Saturday, we go to Lusk for our last regular season tournament. The following weekend, September 20 and 21, we’ll be back in Lusk for the State Tournament.
