The Voice of the Community Since 1909, Serving Moorcroft and Pine Haven, Wyoming
Fifty of Moorcroft's eighth graders participated in an archaeological dig last Wednesday as part of their study of time, fossils and archaeology. Teacher Shanna Kinnick explained that the students had to apply for their positions on the dig with resumes and letters of interest simulating a real application.
Former principal Dale Petersen assisted in preparing the "site", donating time over the previous weekend to bury the bones and artifacts. The class uses items donated over the years with more added for this dig.
