On Friday and Saturday, Moorcroft High School Golfers traveled to Sheridan for the Spring Championships. Although the weather was not cooperative at times, all of the golfers did an exceptional job and all were awarded All Conference Honors based on their finishes.
Payton Timberman placed sixth overall and first place in the Powder River Conference; Caden Connally placed eighth overall and third place in the conference; and Lane Wood finished 13th overall and seventh in the conference.
On the girls side, Kaylei Petz placed 20th overall and sixth in the conference.
It was a good end of the season event and for the weather and not playing and practicing as much as we like, the golfers did well and it was a good spring season.
On Monday, the Moorcroft Junior High Golfers competed in the Casper Invite. This was only their second tournament of the season, but the kids responded well.
Cammy Connally finished third with a 54. On the boys side, Rhett Connors shot a 59; Dane Connally shot a 63; Cade Williams shot a 67; Braizen Humpal shot a 70; and Braxton Buckmiller, an 80. Jaxson Nobles, Gus Robertson, Shane Hannah and Josh Gertsner competed in the scramble.
Their last tournament will be Junior High Districts in Wheatland on Monday, May 20.
