April 22 - May 5
On April 23, police were contacted in reference to someone possibly living in the old movie theatre next to Town Hall. Officer entered the building and checked all of the rooms. No signs of anyone living in the building were found. Officer made contact with the owner of the building and advised them of the complaint.
On April 24, police were notified of a one vehicle rollover on Highway 51. Officer assisted EMS in loading patient and cleared the scene.
On April 25, police assisted a stranded motorist with assistance from the emergency fund.
On April 26, police were notified of two black lab dogs running around town. Officer met with the complainant who had placed the dogs in their truck. Officer was able to determine who the owner was and contact someone to take control of the animals and get them home.
On April 27, police assisted a stranded motorist with assistance from the emergency fund.
On April 28, police were contacted in reference to a dog fight. Upon arrival, the fight was over and Officer made contact with the owner of the dogs and the complainant and spoke with them about the incident. No citations issued.
On May 1, officer assisted a transient with a courtesy ride.
On May 1, police were contacted in reference to a juvenile throwing eggs at houses and cars. Officer arrived in the area of the complaint and located egg and egg shells in the roadway but was unable to locate any juveniles in the area. Officers will keep an eye out for further occurrences.
On May 2, police were contacted in reference to a dogs running at large in the 200 block of Campbell Street and the complainant stated that one of the dogs chased them into their residence. Officer made contact with the owner of the dogs and advised them of the complaint. Officer also advised owner to get the animals licensed with the town.
On May 3, police served papers for Municipal Court.
On May 4, police were contacted in reference to two corgi dogs running at large in the 200 block of South Belle Fourche. Officer spoke with the complainant about the issue. Officer was unable to locate one dog.
On May 4, police were contacted in reference to someone walking through freshly poured concrete. Officer made contact with the complainant who shared photos of the footprints which were consistent with those of a small child and possibly a teenager.
On May 4, police responded to a traffic crash at Coffee Cup Fuel Stop. Officer made contact with the driver of the vehicle regarding the accident. No citations issued.
On May 5, police assisted a traveler in need with assistance from the Emergency Fund.
On May 5, police responded to assist EMS and Fire with a lift assist.

May 6 - 12
On May 7, police were contacted in reference to a female knocking on a door screaming for help. Upon arrival in the area of the call, officer contacted a woman walking down the road who appeared intoxicated. It was determined she was the same woman screaming for help. The woman told the officer she was arguing with her boyfriend. Officer also made contact with the boyfriend who gave the same story as his girlfriend about the incident that took place. There were no signs of a physical altercation so the couple was separated for the evening. Nothing further.
On May 8, police were contacted in reference to a complaint by BNSF that a dually pickup was parked on the railroad tracks causing the train to take an emergency route to avoid collision. Officer responded and located tire tracks consistent with a dually, but after a search of the area was unable to locate any vehicles matching the description.
On May 10, police were requested for a civil standby. Officer went to the residence and stood by while personal items were gathered.
On May 11, police were contacted by a resident who wished to go to Wyoming Behavioral Institute to have their mental health evaluated. Officer advised they could offer a ride to Campbell County Memorial Hospital as a courtesy but the resident would be going in as a voluntary admittance. Resident agreed and officer gave the courtesy ride to the hospital.
On May 12, police were contacted in reference to a dog running at large causing a disturbance. Officer made contact with the owner and explained the dog at large ordinance and advised them they could receive a citation if it continued.
