Restocking

At last week’s first budget meeting, Pine Haven’s public works technician Randy Flowers spoke in place of the department’s director, Sunny Schell. The department, according to Flowers, utilized the last of their back up rotator assemblies last year, “So we have to restock.”

He asked the council for the funding in the 2019/2020 budget to buy two of the parts to replace the failing two that are currently working at about 50 percent and two extras, one for the eventual replacement of a rotator assembly in a large station and one for a small station, “So in case of an emergency we can switch them out.”

The purpose of the rotator assembly is to pump waste water uphill to the lagoon. Flowers said that they have no set schedule for replacing these parts, “We change them when they go bad.”
