The Wolves wrestling team traveled to Miles City, MT this past weekend to wrestle in the 61st Cowboy Invitational Tournament. The tournament was split up by varsity, junior varsity and a second chance. The Wolves competed against 26 other teams, placing 11th as a team and having many individual placers.
Varsity:
103 Sean Buckmiller went 2-2; 113 Tyzer Isenberger, 2-2; 113 Mica Herrera, 4-3 to place sixth; 120 Charmayne DeLong went 3-2; 126 Lloyd O'Neill, 2-2; 132 Caleb Cook, 4-2 to place seventh; 138 Parker Seeley, 4-2 to place fifth; 145 Darrian Black, 2-2; 160 Dekken Mayer, 2-2; 170 Rowdy Pfeil, 5-2 to place fourth; and 205 Parker Schlater went 5-1 to place third and be the Wolves' highest placer.
JV:
113 Jacob Anderson placed fifth, 126 Tyler Graf, second and 138 Sterling Norris placed sixth.
Second Chance:
103 Sean Buckmiller, 3-0, winning all his matches by pin; 113 Jacob Anderson, 2-1; 113 Tyzer Isenberger, 1-2; 120 Charmayne DeLong, 1-1; 126 Lloyd O'Neill, 1-1; 126 Tyler Graf, 0-2; 145 Darrian Black, 2-1; and 160 Dekken Mayer, 2-0.
Next up for the Wolves wrestling team is a dual with the Wright Panthers in Wright on Thursday night, January 17 at 5:30 p.m. followed by their home Moorcroft Mixer on Friday and Saturday, January 18-19. Start time for the Mixer is at 1 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday. The champions will be awarded a buckle from a donor.
