Absaroka District Interpretive Ranger Linley Mayer welcomed guests to the Summer Kickoff at Keyhole last weekend. Crook County first graders from Hulett, Moorcroft and Sundance made their annual trek to Devils Tower National Monument for the 18th annual Wyoming Reads celebration in Crook County. Pine Haven’s council has approved this year’s cleanup day for Saturday, May 20 and dumpsters will be available in the town hall parking lot for residents to deposit their waste throughout the weekend. There is, though, a list of items that will not be accepted in these dumpsters. Last Saturday, Pine Haven's Over the Hill Gang and the Pine Haven Fire Auxiliary celebrated first responders and their families with a barbecue lunch and a program to honor these valiant volunteers. Of the 59 guests who attended, 20 were first responders and, as each arrived, they were given a thank you card with a surprise coin inside.
