The Powder River Energy Foundation awarded preschool tuition scholarships totaling $3450 to students at six preschools in Crook and Weston counties. Youth patrons were invited to Travel The World @ Your Library for our summer reading program, May 31-July 12, ending the adventure with a family barbeque at Robinson Park. Inviting everyone who loves to watch amazing fireworks burst in the dark skies over the reflective waters of Keyhole Reservoir to Pine Haven's the annual Fireworks Over the Lake Saturday evening, July 1. Four years ago, Charlene Huckins had an idea to represent all 50 states in Moorcroft’s Jubilee Parade each year by including the individual flag of each, carried along the parade route on horseback. Sadly, this feat has only been accomplished in full once. As spring rolls into summer, each year, the Beef and Bridle 4H club plants flowers along Big Horn Avenue. As the group works with the flowers and share these moments with each other, they learn about cooperation, volunteerism and community.
