Big upgrade in progress! We are very excited to be getting new shelving for the back wall in the Adult Fiction area of the library. West Texas Trail Museum (WTTM) Director Cindy Mosteller has a lot on her plate, starting with a visit to the museum from the Crook County Tourism Promotion Board along with the Wyoming Tourism Board on Tuesday, October 1. Pine Haven's fire auxiliary is hosting their annual celebration of the changing season and an important fund-raising event with Octoberfest on Saturday. October 5. The affair begins at 8 a.m. as a banquet of sweet treats are laid out for their bake sale to the delight of guests as well as items donated for the silent auction. Twenty-two guests enjoyed the Monarch butterfly and milkweed program last Saturday evening at Keyhole State Park. The program educated attendees on the vital part the lowly milkweed plays in the survival of the Monarch butterfly as the only plant on which the butterfly lays its eggs. Diehl’s Market owner Emanual Chaffee was not sure that he could carry on the Rib Fest during Rally this year due to the departure of the Moorcroft Area Cahmber of Commerce (MACC) volunteers from the event, but Wednesday dawned to a diligent effort by eight of his staff members and Chaffee himself to see the Rib Fest a success.
