The Town of Moorcroft has been approved for a $203,000 grant from the State Land and Investment Board (SLIB) under the CARES Act. These funds will be delivered into the town’s general funds account as reimbursement for wages paid to clerks and police during the pandemic. Don Lancaster, chief of the Pine Haven Volunteer Fire Department, formally resigned from that position at last Tuesday’s meeting of the town council, citing health issues. The department held the election of department officers prior to meeting with the governing body and Preston Bryant was presented to the council as the new fire chief of Pine Haven. Moorcroft's senior citizens' center hosted a Veterans Day celebration last Wednesday morning for 21 guests with a breakfast of fruit, biscuits and gravy, juice and coffee.
