    Moorcroft Clerk/Treasurer Cheryl Schneider has completed the application for a pandemic-related CARES Act funding grant from the State Lands and Investments Board in the amount of $203,000, which was approved and signed Monday night by the council to help the town pay back wages to police and clerks during the time of the pandemic. The application had to be submitted to SLIB by October 28.     An estimated 75 tons of yard waste was burned last week by Pine Haven’s Public Works Director Sunny Schell with the assistance of volunteer fire crew Chief Don Lancaster, TJ Gideon, Bruce Lang and Ed Scott. This pile is usually burned once a year, as winter approaches and the danger of open flames lessens.     The new aeration blowers for both lagoon cells have been installed to the foundation in the blower building. Process piping for the new equipment will soon be installed for aeration on lagoon cell 2. Lagoon cell 2 is near the end of sludge removal. Further drying of this cell needs to occur before completion, but this winter weather will slightly slow that process down.     Moorcroft resident Michael Wiese was arrested earlier this month on charges of aggravated assault after allegedly kicking a door down and pulling a knife on a victim. On October 9, a Moorcroft Police Officer was dispatched at around 8:30 p.m. to a home for a report of a violent incident.
