Glenn Construction was hired by the town council to correct the drainage issue in the alley between Dewey’s Place on Big Horn and the fire station on Cheyenne Avenues last Saturday. According to Moorcroft Mayor Dick Claar, a homeowner on the south end of that roadway was concerned that the fall and spring rains will bring flooding into his property. This project included replacement of the sanitary sewer main in the alley between Powder River Avenue and Cheyenne Avenue from Weston Street to Park Street. Sanitary sewer installation has been completed and Falcon Construction is currently working to replace concrete pavement on Campbell, Crook, Weston and Goshen Streets. October is breast cancer awareness month. On Thursday, October 17, the Lady Wolves played Sundance and wore pink in honor of breast cancer awareness. The players fund-raised money for Deb Norris, who is the grandmother to Kaylee Terry, a sophomore on the volleyball team. Deb is battling breast cancer currently. In the Junior High Girls District 3,000 Meter Event, Mallory Jones earned second place with the time of 11:16.89; Joslynn VonOlnhausen placed 11th with the time of 13:59.75; and Myndy Heringer placed 15th with the time of 17:30.90. The Wolves took the opening kickoff back for a touchdown for some early excitement, but the Bulldogs proved to be able to get up and down the field on the Wolves. The game would prove to have some key players from the Wolves go down, putting the team into a next man up mentally. Officer requested dispatch to page for the fire department and the officer arrived on scene and checked the building for any indication of a fire.
